Initially inspired by a visit to Troon Harbour and the many rusty buildings and harbour side metals. There have since been a number of other rusty additions at different locations, mostly around Scotland, including a triptych inspired by a 'Rusty Hut' at Port Erroll Harbour in Cruden Bay.

Having gained a BA Honours Degree in Textile Design I am naturally drawn to fabrics and enjoy including them in my work. My vibrant mixed media textiles work is generally painted or hand dyed to create my personal response to the subjects that inspire me.
As my work and thinking has progressed outcomes have become more segmented as I go through a process of deconstructing and reforming to produce each response.
