Magical Mezzola May 2018
My mixed media textiles work goes through many stages. I paint a base scene onto fabric using a mix of dyes, inks and paints. I use machine stitching and heat manipulation to build colour and texture before deconstructing. I reconstruct the composition onto canvas or hand painted fabric using stitch and wire.
